In this blog as in others, I might be oversimplifying, but its just because I can't do it in any other way.
But before i start rambling some definitions by Merriam :
Main Entry: 1de·pen·dent
Etymology: Middle English dependant, from Anglo-French, present participle of dependre
Date: 14th century
2. relying on another for support
Main Entry: 1in·de·pen·dent
(2) : not looking to others for one's opinions or for guidance in conduct
And finally Interdependence :
Interdependence is a dynamic of being mutually and physically responsible to, and sharing a common set of principles with, others. This concept differs distinctly from "dependence" in that an interdependent relationship implies that all participants are emotionally, economically, ecologically and or morally "interdependent." Some people advocate freedom or independence as a sort of ultimate good; others do the same with devotion to one's family, community, or society. Interdependence recognizes the truth in each position and weaves them together. Two states that cooperate with each other are said to be interdependent. It can also be defined as the interconnectedness and the reliance on one another socially, economically, environmentally and politically.1
I believe, we have to move from one stage to another.... leading to interdependence. Also that the stages are not mutually exclusive, and can be reversed.
We all are dependent in the beginning and try to move on to independence So, it would not hurt to get an understanding of our dependent tendencies.
An effort to quantify is below :
Dependent : Air,food, water <- intrinsic dependent quantities ; love, understanding and content ; these i believe are common dependent tendencies to all humans, and one cant live without it.
Independent : Knowledge <- this might be personal, any one can have any independent demand/goal.
Interdependence : It is the key to a balanced life & is the key to making long lasting friends ; having a happy family and a satisfied life.
Right now I need to find my independence in life........ i.e the independence of control/action : It is the ability to relegate dependent demands for long term objectives or the immediate demands ; or it is the ability to put independent demands on par with dependent demands to attain knowledge.
Some notes: Knowledge is what we know by learning through experience or by books & by which we should perceive the world(still vague but........I'm looking specific knowledge which i am too lazy to type out)
Love, understanding and content are necessarily derived objects ; thus people/substance is involved. One can argue about content being self sufficient & sustainable but for the sake of argument(i.e not considering it nirvana) it holds true.
So you might wonder why the note's?.....well they are a sequel to a blog post in the future about making long terms friends and/or finding the person you love.
Also as the as a reminder to all the blogs going along with a old business axiom " you cannot control what you cannot measure " so to check on the progress i am making I'd like to setup some independence metrics, don't know what they are. Will try and quantify.

What does it mean to have a goal ?
I believe have a goal means being indifferent to 'local optimums' and always acting in the light of the goal the 'global optimum'
The goal distinguishes/us or gives us the sense of identity in the sense that we can assimilate the past & present to be some one in the future.
I don't mean to sound anthropocentric, but in a sense that....ummmm well I'll just copy paste something read and you'll understand the sense :
its an excerpt from the late Dr. Sagan's talk :
"We succeeded in taking that picture [from deep space], and, if you look at it, you see a dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever lived, lived out their lives. The aggregate of all our joys and sufferings, thousands of confident religions, ideologies and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilizations, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every hopeful child, every mother and father, every inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every superstar, every supreme leader, every saint and sinner in the history of our species, lived there on a mote of dust, suspended in a sunbeam.
The earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that in glory and in triumph they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of the dot on scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner of the dot. How frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity -- in all this vastness -- there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. It is up to us. It's been said that astronomy is a humbling, and I might add, a character-building experience. To my mind, there is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly and compassionately with one another and to preserve and cherish that pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known."
So with that in mind attempting to write down life I wish I had, from the perspective of my death bed.
Professional Life : Nothing special in this section, don't want to do anything specific, just want to work considering the attributes required for any type of work. So analysing the types of works and their attributes becomes essential now. Soooo time to rip things off the net muhahahaha!
Karma Yog teaches us that we should perform all actions without considering ourselves to be the doers of those actions. Verse 3:27 of the Bhagavad Gita reveals:
All actions are performed by the Gunas of Prakriti [attributes of nature]; he who is deluded by the ego thinks, ‘I am the doer.’ Chapter 3:27
In Samkhya philosophy, a guṇa is one of three "tendencies": tamas, sattva, and rajas. These categories have become a common means of categorizing behavior and natural phenomena in Hindu philosophy.
* Sattva (originally "being, existence, entity") has been translated to mean balance, order, or purity. Indologist Georg Feuerstein translates sattva as "lucidity". This typically implies that aspects of creation with more of sattva have uplifting and life supporting qualities.
* Rajas (originally "atmosphere, air, firmament") is also translated to mean preservation or dynamism. (Rajas is etymologically unrelated to the word raja.)
* Tamas (originally "darkness", "obscurity") has been translated to mean "too inactive" or "inertia", negative, lethargic, dull, or slow. Usually it is associated with darkness, delusion, or ignorance. A tamas quality also can refer to anything destructive or entropic. In his Translation and Commentary on the Bhagavad-Gita, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi explains "The nature of tamo guna is to check or retard, though it should not be thought that if the movement is upward tamo guna is absent".
I guess my work experience till now has been "interesting" to say the least, mostly because I felt like I was working towards futility so I guess I need strong goals before I take up any new work endeavors. Also not to forget the feeling of a loss of humanity, I mean 9-5(9) work like a robot, the loss of many childish dreams, hopes, social life, man ....i've missed out on much. So with the goal I guess thinks should be good in the future looking from the past( as long as the goal is adhered to )
Other life (personal ) : I guess it's wrong to create duality(or mulipulity) in life cuz life is just a single entity & the more dual you get the more unhappy life is. But still for the sake of the blog lets assume and continue. So what I would like before I die is :
Enough bank balance for just the minimum.
Don't want any personal possessions except maybe a house on a cool quite hill top, with adjacent farm land and a bunch a pets (sounds pretty romanticized...but aah who cares?)
And now comes the juicy part what I want to be : What I really want to be is a good person( simple isn't it?) . But seriously by good I mean a person who has imbibed and continues to imbibe qualities like love, satisfaction, peace, sanctity inside him. That's the bottom line. That's the Goal in my life. Also to avoid getting kicked around by such I goal I would like to be able to use the "tendencies" without getting attached to them so essentially advaita.......idealistic.....dream..... why not?
Thanks to wiki for references. Will cite all the stuff in good time.

I am a big fan of the author and am very inspired by his thoughts.
Was going through his article a while ago, and felt like sharing this article.
It portraits a beautiful perspective on life, I try to imagine life as suggested and can feel the calm, peace and serenity in the process. Hopefully if the day comes realizing this perspective, that would be the start of one trippy journey.
Every moment, the choices you have in life from Existence are actually infinite. Existence is like the mother who waits expectantly, longingly
for her little child just learning to take the first steps in this world. She is waiting for you to learn to live life in the best way — live enlightenment. She is waiting eagerly for you to open her gift of life.
She wants to see that joy and surprise on your face when you discover
your gift and enjoy it — by living enlightenment.
God designed this world with only one purpose — to make you experience His love. All He wants to see is a smile on your face, a blissful overflowing in your being, as you enjoy these wonderful gifts He has made just for you. There is no other purpose to life. It is a straight and simple universe inviting you to play with it, flirt with it, and experience the joy of pure romance with it.
You are not an accident; you are an incident. You are a conscious miracle of Existence. Life is not a forced happening you have to go through. Life is a living vibrant partner, playing an exciting game, a mysterious adventure that opens out new vistas in front of you every second.
Understand, whenever you think life is throwing surprises at you, life wants to understand you. It is curious to know about you, just like a naughty little kid constantly playing with you and teasing you. It just says, ‘If I talk like this, what will you do? If I do this, what will you do?’ What you call difficult situations or people are just the naughty yet innocent pranks of the little child — sometimes running into your arms, sometimes pinching your cheek and running away, sometimes angry because you did not appreciate its innocent act.
Life is your partner. It is asking you, ‘If I present myself like this in front of you, what will you do?’ Just enjoy this pure romance, delicate as a rose yet strong. This is not the dead strength of a rock, it is the vibrant strength of life — it can express in infinite dimensions this moment yet the very next moment it may not even be alive. Life is just like that — intensely alive and bubbling, unaffected by what can happen the very next moment.
Every moment is a gift from the Divine — the only way to pay your gratitude for the gift is to be intensely alive in this moment, to live enlightenment. The expression of living enlightenment is experiencing complete fulfilment. You are just overflowing within yourself, so you don’t need anything more. This is the natural state in which every single human being is designed to live.

1. The process whereby information about one's environment, received by the senses, is organized and interpreted so that it becomes meaningful.
2. one's powers of observation; discernment; insight.
3. one's view or interpretation of something.
If we try to see the types of perceptions that can be, broadly there is the perception of:
3.Relation between the two.
If we see oneself there is always the perception of self like “I am slim; I am shy etc. etc” but that’s just the personality traits which are changeable or appearances of which we have no control of; I mean I can be born ugly and that’s just the end of.
And there is the inner core self; the nucleus of our existence; the energy that drives this body of which there is a lacuna even in science.
As for the outer world we were told to look at the outer world through the eyes of science or by the way of experience.
And finally the relationship between the two; again massive void no answers here. There is nobody to tell why we are here or what the purpose of a being is. Personally, just as in chess there is no perfect move to play, according to the position the moves change ; similarly there’s no molded answers as to what a persons reason for existence is, it changes according to person to person.
But at some point one does faintly realize that we all seek the beauty of perception, and as such if we try to find a person with the most refined perceptions of all the answer for me would be the saints who ; believe-->experience-->proclaim that God is “Sat(truth)” + “Chit(consciousness)” + “Anand(Bliss)” . I i.e self is God, outer world is god & similar to a pot in the ocean, once the pot breaks what remains is what was = ocean i.e saturation in god. There is no purpose than to bask in his glory, as children of god.
Just the thought of such gives so much inner peace & non conflict that one feels like this is the way life should be.

The Picture illustrates what I believe to be the dance of life.
Thoughts lead to emotional states which lead to physical action.
Thoughts are influenced by peers/environment/instincts & my principles.
Thus when the question arises who am I ?
I would like to think that I am bound by my instincts & my surroundings but try to live by a set of principles which will make me worthy of being called a human being.
